Leduc, Micheal

June 26, 1957 – August 9, 2022

Born June 26th 1957 to Ernestine and Guy Leduc,

Mike was the youngest of 4 boys, Louis, Raymond and George.

Mike didn't have any biological sisters but always said he had two, Joan and Joanne, the wives of Louis and George.

Mike was born and raised in Sudbury, also spent three years in Calgary after graduating high school.

When Mike returned to Sudbury, he met the love of his life Jody Ruff at the Brockdan Hotel. Soon after, they were married, had two beautiful children Michelle (Bradley) and Bradley (Devon), and in return they gave him four beautiful grandchildren. Payton, Parker, Everly and Tyson.

Everyone loved Mike. He was the silent type. Sometimes you even forgot he was in the room, until... he fired out a zinger of a joke and got the entire room laughing. If someone needed help with anything, Mike was there, asking for nothing in return.

Nothing was more important to Mike than his family. He never missed taking Michelle to a gymnastics competition or Bradley to one of his hockey games.  He spent all of his free time with as many family members as possible, including many nieces and nephews, in-laws and outlaws, from watching Bugs Bunny, hanging out at camp, fishing, fires, music and of course that cold beer on the dock.

Mike was a roofer by trade for many of his working years. He owned and operated Leduc Roof Maintenance and spent the last 20 years as a crane operator for RoofMart. Mike worked hard but never complained. His coworkers at RoofMart coined him "The Legend."

When people think of Mike, they will think of him as the legend because there will never be another Micheal Richard Leduc.

We cannot express how grateful we are to all of the family, friends and caregivers who helped us through this difficult journey (You know who you are).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Mike's memory would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held at a later date.

1 Condolence

  1. I knew Mike back in the day when I delivered shingles to him.
Then we started to work together at RoofMart.
He always was and will be a great man, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
    My Condolences to the family.
