Leclair-Dobratz, Brett Karl

October 20, 1997 – October 13, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Brett Karl Leclair – Dobratz, 23 years of age, after a courageous battle with Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. He passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, Ontario with his parents Gary Dobratz and Donna Leclair, and his long-term girlfriend Erika Dopson by his side. Growing up Brett enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and four wheeling. His passion was hockey, but he loved all sports. Brett was an amazing person with a big heart who always wanted to help people. He was a very social person who loved to hang out with his buddies and family enjoying board games, beer pong, and outdoor activities. Brett appreciated life to the fullest always trying to make people smile. He was high spirited, genuine, and very kind.  Brett was a Sudbury-based Twitch streamer aka Ajax, who loved gaming with his online community. Brett battled with cancer for 19 months and stayed positive the entire time. He has been an inspiration and has touched many hearts around the world helping others to see life positively. He will be deeply missed by his family, especially his parents Gary Dobratz and Donna Leclair, and his long-term girlfriend Erika Dopson. Loving brother of Brittany Leclair (Kiefer). Beloved uncle of Jacob and Princeton. Cherished grandson of Pauline Leclair (nee Giroux) (Henry Leclair- predeceased), Alice Veilleux (nee Edmonds), Edgar Dobratz and Gerry French – all predeceased. Sadly, missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his two cats as well as by many friends and supporters.  A Celebration of Brett’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Colonial Inn Restaurant, 28 Cedar St. Coniston, Ontario from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brett’s memory can be made directly to the Northern Cancer Foundation at Make a Donation – Northern Cancer Foundation (ncfsudbury.com).
