Leblanc Gerald (Jerry)

April 15, 1944 – November 12, 2020

It is with profound sadness that the family announces Jerry’s passing on November 12, 2020. Jerry passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and sons at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Jerry will be remembered and deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan (Mieyette). Proud and loving father to James and Jeffrey Leblanc, cherished grandfather to Chloe, Sophie, and Callie Leblanc.  Jerry was the youngest brother, survived by sisters Jacqueline and Patsy, and sister in law Doris. Predeceased by Ivan (Kaye), Lorraine (Albert), Laurie (Rose), Rene, Doris, Raymond (Pearl), Roger, and 2 siblings who passed in infancy.  Dear son in law to Yvonne Mieyette Chenier, brother in law to Jack Mieyette (Bev), and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Jerry was a true family man, who was warm, gentle, and caring. His happiest moments were at home with his family and friends, and he especially enjoyed his precious time spent with his granddaughters Chloe, Sophie, and Callie.  He was cherished by many. Jerry was a gentle, loving man and loved by all who knew him. Jerry loved to play Texas Holdem with friends and could always be counted on to keep the mood at the tables fun and lively!  He also enjoyed sitting along the baseline of the ball field to watch his sons play ball. He rarely missed a game. The family will hold a celebration of Jerry’s life at a later date.  If you wish to remember Jerry with a donation, one can be made directly to a local charity of your choice.
