Lavoie, Larry (Laurier)

Larry (Laurier) Lavoie, died peacefully on November 18, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Lise (née Berton) Lavoie, his daughter Amy (Yvan) Ducharme and his son Luc. He was a loving and dedicated husband and a very proud father of all his children’s accomplishments. He his predeceased by his father Richard Lavoie and his mother Evelyne (Chartrand). He is also predeceased by his brother Rolly (wife Denise). Also survived by sisters Aline (Jules) Gervais, Hélène (Carl) Lafleur, Suzanne (Dave) Lavoie, Lise (Darren) McNamara. He his also survived by his brothers Maurice and Ron (Liba). He was an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Larry worked hard his whole life in home renovations for numerous local companies. He made sacrifices of leaving his family to make his living, as many times the work was out of town. He loved taking care of his customers by providing them excellent work. He always made sure all details were taken care to their satisfaction. He made many friends along his travels. He loved collecting souvenirs from where he travelled. He loved fishing and taking care of his flowers and outdoor plants. A very special soul that deeply cared for his friends and family. Many friends were included as part of his family. He will be terribly missed! Donations can be made directly to the Heart & Stroke https://www.heartandstroke.ca or Brain Injury Association https://www.biasd.ca would be greatly appreciated. A Funeral Mass will be held on December 4, 2021 @ 11:00 am at St. Dominique Church, 1241 Diane St, Sudbury, ON. Due to COVID, no reception luncheon will be held, Covid rules must be followed, and the family must be contacted at the following email lisel@eastlink.ca  before attending to be put on a list.

    Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. Larry was indeed a caring soul and always talked about his family.
    I spent many days with Larry when we worked out of town together. I will never forget the Huntsville trailer days!
    I learned from him and always admired his “above and beyond approach” to customer service. A true craftsman for sure.
