Lashuk, Greg

The Lashuk family announces with deep sadness the passing of one of the funniest men in Sudbury. Greg lost his battle with cancer on Monday, January 21, 2019 as he passed away in his home with his wife by his side. Born on August 14, 1956 to Steven and Grace (nee Gravelle) Lashuk (predeceased). He will be deeply missed by his spouse of 29 years, Diane Lashuk (nee Lariviere), his son and daughter in law, Johnathan and Andrea Lashuk (nee Bonhomme), daughter Tanya Savard and his five grandchildren; Aidan, Emilie, Lucas, Katie and Marcus. Loving brother of Lorraine (Bob), Fred (Darlene), Joyce (Gerry, predeceased), James (Susan), Victor (Tammy), Rick (Janice) and Phillis. Greg has been the goofiest person in the room since he was a child, a quality he kept until the very end. Always one to see the humor in literally every situation. He was there for you if needed a laugh, a hug, or to have a beer and talk. Meeting Greg for the first time, you would get this feeling like you had known him forever. Always there for anyone who needed him, he would be the first to offer help if you had car trouble. With his passing, this world is a little less funny and a little darker. Donations can be made to your local bar by having a drink in his name. He would’ve liked that. A Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held downstairs at Knox Presbyterian Church, 73 Larch Street, on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
