It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen May Lashbrook-Stephens on Tuesday February 1, 2022, at the age of 86 years. Daughter of the late Richard and Muriel Lashbrook (née Waltkinson). The beloved wife to Willard Stephens for 67 years, cherished mother of Gary Stephens (Wendy), Larry Stephens, Ricky Stephens (pre-deceased) and Tami Stephens. The adored grandmother to Jennifer & Krissy, Carolyn & Tyler, Justin & Melodie and April & Jesse. She will also be missed by great-grandchildren Vanessa & Evan, Oliver & Owen, Sophie and Meera. As well as her nine siblings and so many nieces and nephews. She meant so much to so many, and her absence will be felt by all. She had a big heart and she tried to touch as many lives as possible with the word of God. She and Willard settled in French River and started a tourist camp in the 70s where so many friends and family come and enjoy. She loved being outdoors whether it be gardening, swimming, golfing, or a game of croquet. She also enjoyed sledding, fishing and hunting. She was up for anything and then when the day was done, she would sit with her cup of tea. She was a light and a compass for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Nevertheless, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace with the Lord and watching over us like she always has and now is re-united with her missed loved ones.
