Langis, Anatole “Laurier”

In loving memory of Anatole “Laurier” Langis, who passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Health Sciences North after a long courageous battle with a form of blood cancer. He suffered the loss of his friend and partner Pierrette Bellmare. Survived by his children Mona (Louis), Louise (Joseph), Robert (Anna) and his devoted pup Leo. Sadly missed by grandchildren Roch, Renee (Jason), Amanda, Samantha (Phil), Veronique and Patrick. Great-grandchildren Kiera, Brooke, and Olina. Also, survived by sisters Constance Vachon and Rejeanne Fredette and many nephews and nieces. Born in Sudbury he was the son of the late to Wilfrid and Cazildee Langis (nee Lariviere). Anatole will be remembered for his love of his family, enjoyment of his cottage, fishing, hunting, and working. Always challenging tasks at hand with a sense of getting things done. We will all miss his laughter, his generous heart, and honest words. The family would like to thank the Emergency staff who assisted with our father’s care, Dr. Gill. Dr. Charette and to the dedicated nurses in Medical Day who have been so amazing with our Dad over the years. In keeping with Laurier’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to our local HSN Cancer Center.
