It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Omer Marcel Landry, 80 years of age on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Health Sciences North. Omer loved life and his family to the fullest. He loved spending most of his time with his best friend and wife of 53 years Gisèle Landry (Bélanger). Loving father of Michel Landry (Donna), Richard Landry (Kim) and Roberte Katerynuk (Ron). Omer was a very proud and devoted grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren, Céline, Joël, Ryan, Ethan, Karisa, Brooke and Megan. He was an extended grandfather to Jean and Berline Ngouabe and their children. Predeceased by his parents Pierre and Lina Landry (Mathon), as well as stepfather Alphonse Larivée. Cherished brother to Hector Landry (Gisèle) of North Bay. Predeceased by sisters Marie Lebel (Ted), Cécile Larivée and brother Désiré Landry (Josee). He will be sadly missed, forever loved and never forgotten. As per his request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint-Jean De Brébeuf Church, 26 Kathleen St, Sudbury, ON with a reception to follow in the Church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
