Laine, Antero

The family announces with sorrow Antero’s peaceful passing at Extendicare York on Saturday, August 10th, 2019, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Terttu (nee Laitala) for 55 years. Loving father of Ray (predeceased), Ari (Tanya), David (predeceased) (Lisa), and Brian (Tammy). Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Hayden and Adam. Dear brother of Seppo of Finland (predeceased)(Mirjan), Sinikka (Pekka) and Taisto (Karrina) of Sudbury. Son of Sakari and Saimi Laine both predeceased. Migrated from Finland and eventually settled on Silver Lake in Sudbury. Antero was a loving and happy husband, father and friend. Always greeting everyone with a smile. Hardworking carpenter and contractor up for any job. And dedicated to the church. A celebration of life will be held at the Abundant Life Church, 360 Perreault St, Sudbury, ON. Tuesday August 20th, 5pm to 9pm. Services at 7pm followed by light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abundant Life Church
