November 10, 1967 – April 6, 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sean Lee Lafrenière, unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the age of 53 in Sudbury, ON. Father of two beautiful daughters Siobhan and Amber Lafrenière of Victoria, BC. Cherished son of Darlene (Roger) Ranger of Sudbury, ON and brother of Derek Larenière (Lori) and their son Nicolas all of Petawawa, ON. Stepbrother Yvonne (Vanessa & Cheyenne) and Jason Ranger. Lastly, son of the late Ghislain Lafrenière. Sean will be greatly missed by many cousins and uncles/aunts. A Celebration of Sean’s life will be held at the Red Camp later in the year.

My sincerest condolences to the Lafrenière and Ranger families. I served with Sean in the First Battalion, the Royal Canadian Regiment for about 8 years until he decided to retire from the Forces. Simply known to us as “Laf”, Sean was an outstanding soldier and friend and will be sorely missed by those of us in his extended family. I miss our talks from the old days about Sudbury, having been born there myself and being proud of our Chelmsford and Sudbury heritage. Pro Patria (For Country) brother, we will remember them.
