  2. My sincerest condolences to the Lafrenière and Ranger families. I served with Sean in the First Battalion, the Royal Canadian Regiment for about 8 years until he decided to retire from the Forces. Simply known to us as “Laf”, Sean was an outstanding soldier and friend and will be sorely missed by those of us in his extended family. I miss our talks from the old days about Sudbury, having been born there myself and being proud of our Chelmsford and Sudbury heritage. Pro Patria (For Country) brother, we will remember them. Major David H Johnston, CD, BMASC, RMC.
