It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Réjean “Reg” Lacasse, Friday October 6th at St. Joseph’s Villa, with his family by his side. He is now again with his beloved wife Therese (née St Georges). Loving father to Claudette Lacasse (Robert Champagne) and Normand Lacasse (late Teija (née Mattila)). Cherished Grandpapa to TJ Giroux, Stephanie (Joel Lacasse) and Erik Mattila and grand-grandpapa to Zacharie, Isabelle, Nicholas and Maxime. Survived by his loving sister Cecile Peterson-Kirouac (late Henry Peterson and Jean Kirouac) whom he adored. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Dolorese (née Malette), his sister Fleurette (late Armand Nadon) and brothers Yvon (Lucille) Gilles (late Betty). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and cousins. In his early days he was an avid hunter and loved to travel. He was a very well-known and respected business owner for fifty years. He looked forward to attending conventions as he was able to meet up with his fellow associates and friends. Bestowed the title of honorary title of “Sheriff of OMBA”, he was certainly proud of it! He possessed a positive attitude for which he always had something good to say about everyone. He believed in the good in people and in the world, and by his acts of kindness and thoughtfulness would make a difference. A man of faith in God, which was his inspiration and guided him his whole life. In keeping with Reg’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private ceremony will be held by family.
