  1. Hello Cousins, My grandfather was Antanas , Our understanding is there were 4 more children Matausas ( I am thinking he may have stayed on the farm, had 3 daughters), Veronika (Married V. Pajeda who died in an accident and she then married P. Krucas in 1917, had 3 children: Mare, Albinas, Juozas – the one who wrote to Mom), Stase (married Sauciunas, 2 sons and 2 daughters), and Ona (married Putrimas, 2 sons and 2 daughters).

We live in New York State. Aldona used to write to our mom(Pauline) and Aunt Nellie. Antanas or Anthony as he was called had another son Frank as well. They have all passed away. The cousins are in close contact which is wonderful. My grandpa Anthony died in 1950 before I was born, his wife Anella died in the 1920s and he raised the three kids in Rochester NY.

My cousin Fran has been doing a great deal of research on the family as to where they ere born and their journey to the US.

Our deepest sympathies to your family. I would love to hear from any cousins.

Judy Boyle daughter of (Pauline Massau(they had to adapt the name when she started in K as it was a German neighborhood) Lougheed.

  2. Deepest condolences. I have fond memories of your mom. Kassandra remembers her as the mushroom lady. She did make the best mushroom cookies. Wishing you all strength during this difficult time. Loretta
