In loving memory of Jessie Kallio ( née Kemp-Small ), 80 years, who passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2019 at  Maison McCullouch Hospice surrounded by her family. Cherished wife of Lorne Kallio for over 48 years. Loving mother of Debbie, Steve (Natalie), Rob  (Barb), and Lory (Jim). Beloved sister of James predeceased, Marge, Dennis, David predeceased, and Gordon. Proud Granny to Jeff, Derek, Steph (Raoul), and Dave.  Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. Born in Quebec, she moved to the Sudbury area about 50 years ago. She was a seamstress and ran her own business from home and at Fashion Fair in Lively. She loved designing and crafting gorgeous dresses for weddings, proms and graduations. She showed her love for family and friends by sewing sleep pants and pajamas every Christmas. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Maison McCullouch Hospice. They were a loving presence in a very stressful time. In keeping with Jessie’s wishes there will be no services or visitation at this time but there will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the  Maison McCullouch Hospice

  2. Sad news to greet us when we returned from a week away. Our oldest friend in Ontario is gone home. To the Kallio family think of this old saying and celebrate what she taught and all the love she gave.
“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home.” – Australian Aboriginal saying
We will miss her and keep her in our hearts.
