It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Suzanne “Sue” Hnatiuk, 75 years, on Saturday, March 25th, 2023.
Beloved daughter of late Elias and Simone Babin. Loving wife of 51 years to Gordon Hnatiuk and cherished mother of Gordon Hnatiuk Jr. (France), dear grandmother “Baba” of Gerik and Greyson. Dear mother of Darren Simpson and grandmother of Megan, Damien, Dante, Faith, Hope, and several great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Carmen (late Tony) Durbacz, Andy (Ramona) Babin, Carole (Michel) Mayer, Tim Babin and predeceased brothers Howard “Howie” and Michael Babin. Dear daughter-in-law to Nick and Stella Hnatiuk, both predeceased and sister-in-law to Brian (Diane) Hnatiuk, Shirley (Kevin) McMaster and Nelson, predeceased (Sharon) Hnatiuk and John, predeceased (Evelyn) Choptain. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sue played a very special part in all their lives and will be remembered as a devoted, caring, and generous daughter, wife, mother, grandmother “Baba”, sister, aunt, and friend. Her passion for cooking and baking, and her love for simple pleasures made her family’s life richer. She enjoyed the company of her canine, Whisky, and loved boating and swimming at her home on Fairbank Lake.
