It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Fernand “Fern” Michel Godon with family by his side on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Health Sciences North at the age of 36 years. Father of Hailey Lamoureux, Gavin Godon, Korbin Godon and stepdaughter Chloe Berkowitz. Brother & best friend of Stephane Rousselle with Misty Smith. Born in Sudbury, he was the son of Gisele Godon (Dan Leahy) & stepfather Normand Rousselle (Tammy Houle). Cherished grandson of Helene Godon & Yvon Godon (predeceased). Fern will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. He will be remembered for his love of Art, music and nature. Loveable sense of humour and incredible sincere heartfelt hugs that would reach to your soul. Fern will be remembered by all who knew him as a free-spirited man who lived by his own convictions. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fern’s memory can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated.
