It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Yvonne Giroux on Monday, October 30th, 2023 at Health Sciences North. She was 75 years old. Born on May 5, 1948. Beloved daughter of the Late Adelard and Auxilia (Roy).
She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters. Raymond (pre-deceased) his wife Zita, Thérèse (Eméri Gladu pre-deceased), Jean-Claude (Pre-deceased) his wife Marguerite, Pauline (Henri Leclair pre-deceased), Claire (Gérard Lévesque (predeceased), Rhéal (predeceased) and André (Lynn).
She will be cherished by all her nieces and nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by many cousins, friends and everyone who walked through her life.
Yvonne worked in the housekeeping department at the old St. Joseph Hospital then at the Laurentian Hospital. She was full of life. She was known for enjoying playing cards, going to bingo, and spending time with her family.
She has now joined her family up in heaven and will be watching over us until we meet her again.
We would like to thank the staff on the 4th and 8th floor North at Health Sciences North for their dedication.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to any deserving organization of your choice.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honour at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church, on Friday November 17, 2023 at 10:30a.m.
We have been friends for 50 years. She was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding. We loved her dearly.
