Giroux, Marie

It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Marie Giroux (nee Jeanveau) with family by her side on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Health Sciences North at the age of 61 years. Born in Sudbury on May 21, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Madeleine Jeanveau (nee Chartrand). Loving mother of Sylvain and Andree Giroux (Bud Poitras). Adoring grandmother of Carter (predeceased), Zoé, Hailey and Alexie Poitras. Beloved sister to many siblings. Marie will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She will be remembered for her quick wit and humour as well as being a social butterfly, and her caring, funny loving personality and her willingness to help everyone she knew. Marie enjoyed her time mud bogging, bowling, playing bingo, dancing, laughing and joking with friends and family but most of all spending time and playing with her grandchildren, she always put her family above all else. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service or visitation.
