The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Richard Bruce Gibb, 79 yrs., on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Health Sciences North. Loving husband of Claire Gibb (nee Charette). Beloved father of Paul (Lynne), Lynn, Susan (John Flegg), Olivia (Jonathan) and Julie (Brian). Adored grandfather of Hugh, Ian, David, Alyssa, Travis, Graeme, Conrad, Grant, Wesley and Elliott. Born in Barrie, ON., to the late Robert and Helen Gibb (nee Mobley). As per his wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Condolences from the Retired Teachers of Ontario/Les enseignantes et enseignants retraités de l’Ontario to Richard’s family – we know that your best comfort will come from the telling of his life stories by those who knew the joy of his presence in their lives. Richard’s name has been added to our In Memoriam. He will be remembered at our next meeting, and a donation will be made to the CNIB in his memory.
