Geraldine Eleanor Jones (nee Yule)

January 15, 1947 - January 03, 2022

74 years old

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Geraldine “Gerry” Jones, on the morning of January 03, 2022 at the gracious age of 74 years at Health Sciences North. Gerry was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba. Youngest daughter to Phyllis (nee Dagg) and Dave Yule of Manitoba; both predeceased. Sister to Phyllis and her husband Norman “Sonny” Larrett both predeceased. Gerry is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Marcel Jones of Garson. She will be greatly missed by her only daughter, Sandra and her husband Daniel St.Louis of Falconbridge, her three grandchildren, Lance (Joy) St.Louis, Alexander St.Louis, Jenna St.Louis, and great-granddaughter Eleanor.

The utmost sorrow and grief of the loss of Gerry will be forever felt as her presence, love, feistiness (tell it, as it is attitude), her brilliance, intelligence, kindness, generosity and willingness to help her family will be cherished as her memory lives on through us.

Gerry was an extremely hard-working woman. She and Richard owned their own business; they worked relentlessly and diligently to make it a success. She was very proud of this accomplishment. When she was not working, Gerry loved spending time at the cottage with her family. She adored animals & wildlife, often donating to animal organizations & causes. She had a soft spot for making donations to foundations that helped people with various health & financial problems as well.

We would like to thank Dr. A. Adulhusein & Dr. Ravi for their undeniable care. Also, Emergency Dr. Oommen, the nurses and the paramedics at Health Sciences North who did their best to make Gerry as comfortable as possible.

Gerry most definitely, left this life, more worried about how we would deal with her absence than about herself. She always put love and care for her family above herself.…that is how she was.

In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by Gerry’s family. In respect to Gerry’s wishes, there will not be a visitation or memorial service.
