It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Hector, announce his peaceful passing at his home in Sudbury, Ontario on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the age of 75.
Born and raised in Sudbury, he was the son of the late Fabiola (née Lafontaine) and Placide Gaudrault. Hector is survived by his sons Andre (Andrea) and Josh (Sarah), grandchildren Bradley and Emma Leigh, and his former wife Barbara.
He is also survived by his brothers Guy (Lorraine), Royal (Sandra), Roland (Rachel), Michel (Karen), sisters Helene Duval, Jeannine Turgeon (Clément) and many nieces and nephews. Hector is predeceased by his daughter Christina, sisters Yvette Gravelle (Rene), Jeannette Bastien (Jack), and Denise Blais (Richard).
Hector spent most of his adult life in Truro, NS, where he raised his children and enjoyed time in the summer in PEI with family and friends.
As per Hector’s wishes, his ashes will be placed next to his late daughter Christina at Watson Cemetery in Truro, NS.
