Peacefully at St-Joseph’s Continuing Care Center, Sudbury on October 6th, 2017, Aime Gaudette passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Gail (nee Cooke) for 35 years. Cherished father of Michele Lloyd (John), Lee Ann Gaudette, Nicole Purzyski (Dan) from Alberta and step-daughters Mary Leavitt and late Winnie Leslie of New Brunswick. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Aurel (Huguette), Raoul (Betty) and late Armand Jr. He will also be missed by all his nieces and nephews. Aime was born and raised in Quebec to the late Armand and Rose-Anna Gaudette (nee Caya). He worked as a miner in Quebec then moved to Ontario and kept busy as a well-known handyman in Chelmsford. He was affiliated with the knights of Columbus for over 28years and enjoyed camping and fishing. In keeping with Aime’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A burial will take place at the Chelmsford Cemetery. As expression of sympathies, memorial donations may be made directly to Northeast Cancer Center.
