Garon, Albert “Bert” Joseph

Albert “Bert” Joseph Garon, 83 years of Sudbury ON, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Health Sciences North. Bert was married to the love of his life for 60 beautiful years, Yolanda. Sadly missed by his daughter Barbara Anne. Cherished Papa to Stacey (Darren) his “princess screwball” and William “Bucko” who he adored. Bert has two great-grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life, Gemma and Brayden Marynuk. Bert grew up in Britt ON. Son of Edmond and Eglentina Garon both predeceased. Brother of Ernest (predeceased), Elma (predeceased), Germaine (predeceased), Beatrice (Jack predeceased) and Patsy (Roland). He will be missed by many brothers and sisters-in-law. Bert had many cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours who are and will be always in his heart. He is a very special person to the Biasucci family and also family friend Rose Menard. Bert retired from INCO after 35 years, he always had a project on the go. He loved spending time at his camp on Tyson Lake with family and fellow campers. Bert loved being with his family and friends. He was a natural prankster/joker and always greeted you with a warm smile and lending hand. The family would like to thank the many PSW’s who aided in his home care, also the nursing staff on the 6th floor South Tower at H.S.N. He is now with his lifelong friend Jack Porlier. The Sun has hit the trees, rest peacefully Papa and always “keep the shiny side up”. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon. Donations to the Diabetes Association or Parkinson’s Research would greatly be appreciated.

  5. Very sorry and saddened to hear about Bert. I met the the family many years ago when Barbara Anne attended our school.
    Bert was a dedicated husband and father. I was always impressed with his friendliness and kindness.
