Garbutt, Jack

The family announces the sudden passing of Jack Joseph Garbutt 80 years of Sudbury with family at his side on January 27, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Jack retired from INCO after 31 years of service, working in Coniston, Garson and Copper Cliff. Jack loved fishing, hunting, working-out with friends at the YMCA, and having his coffee with buddies. Jack was son to the late Edward and Beatrice (nee Guimond) Garbutt. Jack was also predeceased by sister Dorothy Petty. Jack is survived by wife and life partner Jean (nee Everitt) of 51 years, son Patrick (partner Tim) and two loving grandchildren Dalton & Joshua. Jack is also survived by his special friend and mother-in-law Harriette Everitt (101yrs,) and very special cousin Ronald Garbutt. Jack is also survived by brothers Gary (Barbara,) Victor (Linda,) Milford (Dorothy,) and Bernard Leclair (Pauline.) He will also be missed by sister-in-law Marilyn (Karl,) brother-in-law Gerald (Betty,) and many nieces & nephews. A celebration of life will be hosted by the family at a later date

  2. Uncle Jack for many years I went to your house to play with Patrick, I was welcomed with open arms treated like a son. Later on in life as the military streightened me out I always looked forward to visiting you and antie Jeanie. I know it has been many year since we had a good visit and I will miss you dearly. You sir have earned your rest. Be in peace, and if you need a good laugh come and visit your spirit is always welcome in my home.
