It is with great sorrow that we announce Catherine Gagnon’s passing in Sudbury on Sunday October 13, 2019 at the age of 57.  Daughter of the late Roger and Joyce (nee Guy) Gagnon.  Cathy had a kind and loving heart, and will forever be missed by her siblings: Daniel (Brenda), Suzanne Dubien (Gino), Marc-Roch, Pierre (Susan), and Caroline Bean (late David); nephews and nieces: Eric (Lisa), Mathieu (Amanda), Andre, Raymond, Jacquie (Patrick), Joey, Christopher, Melanie; and great nephews/nieces: Zavier, Louie, Brady, Harriet, Gilles, Holly.  Cathy was born and raised in Sudbury, attending école secondaire MacDonald Cartier and Cambrian College.  Cathy worked in Burlington in late 1980’s and early 1990’s and spent her remaining years in Sudbury. She loved to walk and swim and was once an accredited lifeguard. Her greatest achievements included her many dedicated years as a Personal Support Worker, as well as volunteering.  She will be remembered for her sense of humour, her love of playing games, and her great joy of being with family and friends.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 26th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury.  Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday.  Donations may be made directly to the Sudbury Right to Life Association, or to the Canadian Mental Health Association and would be appreciated.

  3. Hi, my thoughts are with you all. I remember while going to school in Sudbury, hanging out with Cathy a few times and always enjoyed our time together. I don’t remember what we talked about but I remember laughing a lot. Good memories!
