Passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Elizabeth Center at the age of 87 yrs. Born in Sault Ste. Marie to the late Angelo and Sarah Chicarelli (nee Dovigi). Loving mother of Sandra Lafave (Kirk Ransom), Lisa Morin (Alex) and Daniel Chicarelli (predeceased). Cherished grandmother of Amy Chicarelli and Gavin Ransom and great grandmother of Drayson and Alayha. Survived by her sisters Rita Lauzon (Bernard- predeceased), Sandra Cook (Charles- predeceased) and predeceased by siblings, Irene Scali (John-predeceased), Norma Chicarelli, Eva Thibodeau (Henry-predeceased), Anna Ferra (Tony-predeceased), Ronald (Ingrid-predeceased). Velma will be greatly missed by her extended family Kerri Pozzo, Larry Brule, and their children. And missed by her fur babies Bella and Tuesday. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Elizabeth Center (home area 2) for the care and compassion they gave to Velma.
