After 82 years, Rita Ethier (née Coutu) is once again in the soft embrace of her mother Flore and Hector. Surrounded by her loving family at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Rita passed peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Rolland for 67 years. Cherished mother of Diane Boulais (Marcel), Bob Ethier (Gwen), Paulette Boyd (Glenn Vallance), Yvonne Rainville (Léo) and Joanne Tarzwell (Léo Dallaire). Loving grandmother to Brigitte, Josée, Mélanie, Ron, Jacqueline, Mike, Kary-Ann, Shawn, Chad, Chuck, Tom, Julie-Anne and 22 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Clothilde Coutu (predeceased), Cécile Laurin (Lucien both predeceased), Aimé Coutu (Marthe both predeceased), Roger Coutu (Dolly predeceased), George Coutu (Mary predeceased), Lucien Coutu (Marguerite), Thérèse Renaud (Jacques), Guy Coutu (Leota predeceased) and Flore Coutu (predeceased). On t'aime gros come le ciel! As per Rita’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass in Rita’s memory will be celebrated at l’Eglise St-Jean Baptiste, 27, rue Principale Est, Verner on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with the interment of cremains to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Desjardins Live Butterfly Release Fund.
My dear sweet fleur, Paulette. I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of your mother, Rita. I wish I could be there to give you a great big hug at such a difficult time for you and your family.
