Duquette André

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of André Duquette with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Health Sciences North at the age of 70. Loving partner of Lina Larose. Cherished father to Carole Martin (Daniel), Nicole Duquette and Doris Lafond (Rob). He leaves behind 7 amazing grandchildren Zoé, Marco, Nathan, Angélique, Jérémy, Michael, Nicholas and 2 beautiful great-grandchildren Kailey and Addison. Wonderful stepfather to Chantal Lemieux (Travis), Luc Lemieux (Denise), Richard Lemieux (Kim) and 4 beautiful step- grandchildren Eryn, Ava, Kayla and Tyler. André was born in Moonbeam, ON to a family of 11. He was predeceased by his parents Aldège and Tina Émerentienne (Ladouceur) Duquette and siblings Eugène Duquette, Richard Duquette and Bernadette Duquette. Dearly loved brother of Lise Trudel (Paul), Dolores Duquette (Steve), Hélène Clement (Leo), Wilfred, Fred, Jacques and Ronald Duquette. André was a kind and generous man who loved his family unconditionally and cared for the well-being of all his friends and even complete strangers. “To give someone the shirt off your back means you are sacrificing something; being extremely generous”, that’s who he was, on more than one occasion he literally gave the shirt off his back and his winter jacket to someone who needed it. He was a talented painter, a car dealer, a collector of antique and vintage objects but also enjoyed playing beautiful music on his guitar. In keeping with André’s wishes, services will be held at a later date.
