Dupuis, Candace “Candy”

With great sadness we mourn the passing of Candace Marie “Candy” Dupuis (nee Doyle), of Garson passed away at the age of 61 on November 8, 2023, with her children and family by her side.

Candy leaves behind three children Christopher Dupuis (Amelia), Melissa Roy (Eric), and Jenna Dupuis (Kurt). As well as her precious grandchildren, June, Sierra, Edwynn and Remi, all who adored their “Nammy”

Predeceased by her father, James Doyle, mother Gladys Doyle and her bother Jimmy Doyle. Candy was a loving sister to Katy Begley, Penny Milligan (Tom), Heather Doyle, Mickey Doyle, and Charlie Doyle. Candy will always be remembered by nieces Samantha Theriault and Zandy Arriaza and nephews George Begley and Zachary Milligan, great nephews Braeden and Connor Begley, Maddy and Charlotte Theriault and Marcus, Isaiah, and Mateo Arriaza.

Candy was an extremely loving mother, adoring “nammy”, loyal sibling and trusted friend. Candy had many passions in life but her two main joys in life were kids and grandkids. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking meals for large family gatherings and is well known for her famous meat pies, a long-time recipe from her mother’s family. She was a very kind, humble and sweet person who enjoyed the simple things in life, like playing her games on the iPad and drinking her morning coffee with her cats. She loved cats and dogs loved her. She also enjoyed surprise visits and sleepovers from her grandbabies. They were her pride and joy. She just adored and worshiped them all.  Candy’s happy place was at camp surrounded by all her family. She worked hard at everything she did and retired from HSN laundry services after 33 years of dedicated service. She was loved by anyone who met her because of her jokes, sarcasm, optimism, and enthusiasm. She will be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends from the Garson and Pickerel River area.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 15 ,2023, 3:00pm-7:00 at the Garson Pub, 20 Birch Street, Garson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Garson Food Bank https://www.sudburyfoodbank.ca/find-a-food-bank/garson-garson-community-food-bank/
