Edgar Dupré passed away peacefully at the Maison Vale Hospice on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the age 80. An avid model plane hobbyist who lived a full and interesting life and may best be remembered as a photographer (Dupré Studio) who created many family memories through his portrait photography. Loving husband of Rollande (née Lalonde) and father of Nicole Dumont (Rhéal), Joffre Dupré and Marquise Dumont (J.P.). Cherished grandfather of Gabriel Dumont (Emily Reid), Chantal Dumont (Marc Charron), Jessin Dumont and great grandfather of Léa and Sofia Charron. He was predeceased by his son Joffre who passed away February 17, 2015 in Bonita Springs, Florida at the age of 53. Jeff had spent the latter part of his life working in IT and fishing Florida`s rivers. Edgar grieved his son's death until the end. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for both Edgar and Joffre which will take place at Ste. Anne des Pins Church, 14 Beech St, Sudbury on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon. I’m very sad to learn of Jeff’s passing. He was my first online friend back in the 90s. He always made me laugh and was so smart. He helped me with conversational French. We lost touch over the years and I’m shocked that looking him up online resulted in finding out he had passed. My condolences to family and friends on the loss of Jeff and his father.

I am deeply saddened for the loss of my dear friend Jeff. Jeff was truly an inspired personality, who loved life, loved his family and loved to give of himself to others whole heartedly. Anyone that knew this man, knew how special he was. The world is truly a darker place without him. Jeff and I spent much time together, learning, teaching, and just truly enjoying life. I don’t know how to say good bye to you my friend. You taught me so much on how to look at things, how to challenge myself and think ‘outside of the box’. You showed me how to appreciate the people around you and the life you have, and to always do your best. I only hope I somehow gave you something in return.
Mr. Dupre was force to be reckoned with. Although I only met him a few times over the years, this summer I was able to spend some time with him and understand why Jeff cared and loved him so much. Over the many conversations we had about Mr. Dupre, I learned something. Both of them lived life on their own terms; both were strong willed and determined; both were the same in many, many respects. And both missed each other dearly in the end.
God bless you both, may you fill the skies with the flashes of our dreams and our moments together. May we remember to picture our lives with the memories they left with us and remember that although some things are just a click away, the timeless lessons of life, love and the pursuit of your dreams will reside in us, because of them.
