Dougherty, Sherri

January 24, 1968 – January 30, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Sherri Dougherty, also known as Mom, suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late James and Greta Nosworthy (Greenshields), sister of the late Gerry Nosworthy and widow of the late Robert Dougherty. Dearest mother to the loves of her life - her daughters Jerry and Toni Dougherty.

She leaves behind her "sister" Dawn Kosi, sister-in-law Joie Nosworthy, her nephews Shayne and Kyle Nosworthy, Ian Farmer, niece Jessica Nosworthy, her beloved friend Mark and four-legged friend, Cas and family of the Greenshields and Campbell side.

She will always be fondly remembered as Mom to many, as those who truly knew her knew she wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved and cared for others wholeheartedly and went out of her way to fight for others and for what was right. Her loss will be felt by her family and many whose lives she has touched and paths she has crossed. Sherri will most be remembered for her honesty, her great taste in music, her love for animals and boardgames, and most importantly, her strong spirit. Sherri was very proud of her daughters, her home, and her business.

"She was the sunshine and the comfort on the darkest days, the smile and touch that made everything okay." We love you and miss you so much already.

Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and burial will be held at a later date.

"You can always count on Mom’s to get you home safely."
