Dever, Anne (1921-2017)

In loving memory of Anne Dever, who passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017 at the age of 95 to be reunited with her beloved husband James Dever.  Loving mother of Catherine McGinn (Ed), Patricia Brouillette (Moe), Elizabeth Mertin (Arnold), Peter Condron (Rita) and step children Barbara Renault (Jerry) and John Dever (Irene).  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Born in Louise Twp, ON to the late Adolph and Emma (Metivier) Hamilton.  She is predeceased by siblings Andree (Germain), Beatrice (Jerry Rainville), Patrick (Joan-surviving), Johnny, George and Charles who passed away in WWII. Anne ran The Dever Residential Home in Garson for many years and was an active lifetime member of the Legion Branch 76.  She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary and was presented with The Meritorious Service Award, the highest honour handed out by the Legion for her dedicated service.  Anne will be remembered for hosting the best roast beef suppers and will be deeply missed and remembered as the lady who could not say no.  A special thank you for the compassion and loving care shown for Anne at Pioneer Manor in the Ramsey unit.  In honour of her request there will be no visitation or service held.
