It is with immense sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Denis on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Health Sciences North in her 60th year after a long and courageous battle with liver cancer for which she was comforted by her son Cody and best friend Joyce. Loving mother of Cody and cherished sister of Victor Pivoriunas. She was a third-generation hunter and trapper which she learnt from her father, growing up she developed a love for the outdoors and eventually found a job working for the Ministry of Natural Resources as a Fire Fighter. In her time away from work, she enjoyed spending time in the outdoors either fishing, hunting or camping. Linda referred to the outdoors as her “home away from home”. She later passed on this enjoyment to her son Cody by teaching him many things while camping or blueberry picking. Linda will be missed dearly and forever remembered for the kindness and compassion she had for her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made directly to the Northern Cancer Foundation – Liver Foundation. In keeping with Linda’s wishes there will be no service or visitation, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
