  1. Sorry to come across the loss of Herman. He had a significant impact on my life. He influenced my decision to go back to school while having my first child at 18. His advice to my question of what to do as I was pregnant with my second child – was Julia you have to figure out what makes you happy. It is only then that your children will be happy with you. I went back finished high-school, finished my undergrad, finished my masters with my 4th child. His advice and conversations were missed over the years. Love to the family.

  4. Dear Leanne & Family,
I am very saddened to hear of Herman’s passing. I thoroughly enjoyed our enthusiastic conversations about gardening and I smile when I remember the encouragement he gave me when I talked about visiting Holland for the first time. “Just go….you will not regret it!” Rest in Peace, Herman.
