He enjoyed golf, playing cards and spending time with friends. In his later years, he was President of the Residents Association of Extendicare Falconbridge affectionately known as the “Candy Man” where he loved interacting with the staff and residents. He participated annually in the In-Home Olympics, enjoyed spending time playing BINGO, painting birdhouses and participating in the in-house activities at Extendicare. His favorite activities were taking care of his adopted budgies “Blue and Blue Light” and spending time with friends and listening to music at the Pub days. Gord lived for his family and extended family. He loved his “girls”, adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, PSW’s and volunteers at Extendicare Falconbridge and Sudbury Health Sciences North who assisted in all of our father’s medical care over the last 10 years.
