Craig, Wayne

On Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Wayne Craig, 74 years lost his battle with esophageal cancer. Survived by his wife Sharon (nee Lowenberg). Father of Darwin (Sylvie), Michael, Alan (Joanne). Proud grandfather of Tegan, Zachary, Maisie, Mia, and honorary grandfather to Brad and Brody. Dear brother of Ted, Garnet, Garth (Pat), Butch (Diane) Terry (Charlene), Ralph, Vicki (Robert). Wayne worked for Local 800 Plumbers & Pipefitters and retired from Comstock Canada as Project Manager. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and participating in fish fries with friends at the cottage. There was always a “Happy Hour”. He enjoyed puttering in the garage and was “handy with his tools” so much so, he would often be seen helping his neighbours with their various projects. He looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and loved watching his granddaughter’s volleyball and basketball games. Wayne will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. A special thank you to the many nurses and doctors who assisted our family during this time. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall Branch 76, 1533 Weller Street, Sudbury between 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.(Casual attire)

3 Condolences

  1. Dear Sharon, Darwin, Michael, Alan & Families.
Sincerest Condolences from All of My Family at this very difficult time. The Craig family certainly has been a huge part of my families life and Wayne was like a Brother to me. His loss will be deeply felt by many because he was the GLUE that kept everything together. He was a very kind and generous person (a Jack of All Trades) who was always their for whomever was in need. His Great Sense of Humour will certainly be missed. His LOVE for FAMILY was unconditional and I believe that the best way we can HONOUR WAYNE is too TRULY CHERISH ALL OF THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES of which there are so many. RIP Wayne.
