Coulas, Helen

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen Coulas (Waddington) on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North with beloved family at her side. Dear daughter of the late Macgillvary and Edith (Belisle) Waddington. Loving wife of the late Maximillion Coulas. Beloved mother of Lawrence Coulas (Nancy Johnson), Kimberley Coulas (Lee Ann Desrocher), Calvin Coulas and special daughter Deirdre Collins. Treasured grandmother of Vance Coulas (Holly Lielkalns), Kelsey Collins and Carson Collins. Helen is fondly remembered by her sisters Marion Mather (Larry, predeceased) and Rita Ziebarth (Herby, predeceased) as well as by many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Helen thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, bingo and puzzle partners at the Walford Retirement Residence. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Walford for making her last three years so comfortable, and the doctors, nurses and support staff at Health Sciences North for their assistance during her final days. On Thanksgiving weekend, Helen made her final trip to rest in her hometown of Combermere. There will be no visitation or service. A family Celebration of Helen’s life will be held on December 22. Donations in Helen’s memory can be made online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
