Collins, Denise Raymonde

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Denise R. Collins (née Pressault), 80 years on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Pioneer Manor. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Collins Sr. Loving mother of David and Ronald Collins Jr. (predeceased). Cherished grandmother of Kelsey, Evan, Ryan and Megan. Denise was happiest spending time with her family and close friends. Mom was an excellent cook and took great pride in providing a neat and tidy home for which our door was always open and inviting. She spent many years working at the Dominion Grocery store where she made many lifelong friends. In her later years, her home was Pioneer Manor where she had many friends including all of her caregivers. Denise was fun loving and was always offering a hello, a smile and a high five. Words cannot alone express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all of Denise's caregivers in the Pine Area at Pioneer Manor. Your wonderful and compassionate care provided for her throughout the years and especially during her final days is truly appreciated. I can’t thank you enough for all you did for my mom. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, kindness and compassion that will live on in our lives. She is now at peace, with her husband, and eldest son. In keeping with Denise’s wishes there will be no visitation. A family service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.

  1. Dear David and family, I am sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. As a former employee, and now a regular visitor to Pioneer Manor, I came to know Denise in my visits to the Pine Home Area. She was a lovely lady.

  2. I am so sorry to hear that Denise has passed away. I always meant to visit her at Pioneer Manor. I remember her from her younger days working at the Dominion Store and also enjoyed a few parties with her and Ron and the Kozmans. She was a lot of fun to be around.
