Chénier, Gérard Yvon – (1939-2020)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gérard Yvon Chénier at the age of 80 yrs, on Monday March 23,2020, at Health Sciences North. Beloved father of Jean-Claude, Corinne and Ginette. Cherished grandfather of Réjean and Josée Vaillancourt (Jacob), Véronique and Claudia Chénier. Sadly, missed by the 4 card playing musketeers Mina Mankarios, Gerry Felice, Gabe Duval and John Richer, your angel will wait for you to play cards again.   As per Gérard wishes there will be no visitation or service.

  1. RIP Dear friend, I just found out about this just now and want to tell you all how sorry I am to hear of his passing. Gerry and my grandfather Martin Shaffer were fishing buddies as my grandfather had a cabin a couple doors down. Gerry would always watch out for it and whenever he went up to visit always came by. I am very saddened by this news but know he is in a better place. Karen

  2. Greatest memories I hold where our camping days growing up. You sure liked to fish. Our calls every Thursday night. Thank you for sending my message to Andre an you finally get to see your brother again. Hope you meet an angel to play cards with cause I know at the end this is what you missed so much.   6. You can Rest In Peace . No more suffering Memories of time spent together for numerous years with family n kids camping at Shining tree n trips to Quebec. Being with family n kids growing up was lots of fun. You enjoyed camping fishing especially. Kids will always have that memory.
    You were a good provider. Never missed work at INCO now Vale Melion.
    A great music lover, especially country being listened to at camp fires , toasting marshmallows,
    Cooking our fish. Especially our favourites walleye. You are now with your loved ones
    God Bless you are surrounded by angels n guides maters of Love n Light. Enjoy your journey
    Until we meet again .remember when we talked about You coming to pull my toe or me yours
