Charbonneau, Mary Jane Sara (nee Leduc)

“A mother holds her children’s hands for just a little while…their hearts forever.” The family announces with deep sorrow her passing at Pioneer Manor on November 26, 2019, at the age of 92. Dear daughter of the late Maxime and Armeline (Robillard) Leduc. Beloved wife of Oscar (predeceased 1984). Dear sister of Wilfred, Louise, Loretta, Yvette, Elizabeth, Albert, George, Reginald, Alexander, Edward, Vincent, and Aime, all predeceased. Loving and caring mother of Claire Woodward (Chuck), Gloria Hines (Terry, predeceased), Robert (Claire), Jack (Lynne), Laurie Maltby (Jim), Louise Willcock (Dave), John, and Joan Chatfield (Troy). Cherished grandmother of Tammy, David, Kristen, Erin, Marc, Paul, Matthew, Melissa, Michael, Sara, Evan, Colin, Candice, and great grandmother of Lauren, Emily, Ethan, Kate, Mason, and Michael Jack. Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by one sister-in-law, Bonnie Charbonneau. A longtime resident of Hanmer, Jane was a devout Catholic whose faith kept her strong. Her life was devoted to caring for her husband and eight children and was always there to help others in need. Mom was an outstanding cook and baker and made the best stews, bread, cookies, and pies! She loved animals, walking, reading, country music, and scratch tickets! Her luck came through once and she fulfilled her dream of going to Nashville. Mom was always very supportive and proud of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She really was happiest when surrounded by family. She was an endless source of kindness, patience, courage, strength, hope, laughter, and love. We are who we are thanks to her example. Mom’s smile is imprinted in our hearts forever, and we will miss her dearly!  A special thank you to Augustine Proulx for her many visits, and to the staff in Lodge 2 at Pioneer Manor for their great care and support over the past 10 years. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
