Cayen, Donald

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Donald “Don” Edmond Cayen on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Born on March 19, 1934 in River Valley he was the son of the late Donat and Dina Cayen (nee Miron). Loving husband of Jeanne D ’Arc Cayen (nee Corriveau). Adored father of Elizabeth (predeceased), Leonard (predeceased), Donna, Bernie, and stepfather of Lucy (predeceased), Al and Denise. Cherished brother of Claude, Gilles, Doris, Guy, Gino, Ed, Marcel, Ives, Lorraine, Noella and Anita. Doting grandfather of Neil, Darryll, Lyndsey, Alain, Sylvie, Mason, and Leland. Special Père to Samantha and Alexandria with whom he shared a special bond. Don will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping or simply taking a walk-in nature. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and especially his hunting partner Claude Nöel. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory can be made directly to the Northeastern Cancer Foundation and would be appreciated.
