With heavy hearts filled with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother Robert Gordon (Bob) Caverley at the age of 80 years. He died as he lived in peace and dignity at Health Sciences North after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind to mourn, his loving wife of 56 years Lillian (nee Charbonneau), his 3 precious children Brent (Celeste), Brian (Stacey), Tracey (Michael Richer) and the lights of his life, his grandchildren Anthony Richer (wife Amber), Jeremy Richer, Grace Caverley and Willow Caverley who was meeting him at Heaven’s Gate. Robert is the oldest son of Wilfred and Jennie Caverley, and brother of Allan and Wayne. He will also be greatly missed by his large family of sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and friends. Bob worked at INCO for 33 years retiring in 1990 while awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff on the 4th floor of Health Sciences North who treated Robert with the loving care and dignity that he so deserved. A special thank you to nurse Sheri for providing us with comfort and caring at the time of his passing, his doctors for their excellent care Drs’ Bowen, Cano and Falk for ensuring his comfort and Drs’ Moe and Monique St. Martin and their wonderful staff who cared for him like he was one of their own. At Robert’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
