It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Melanie Joanne Carriere on Sunday March 22, 2020 at her residence with her friends and family by her side. Cherished daughter of Gerry and Lynn Carriere (nee Ouimet). Loving sister of Renee Carriere (Justin) and Eric Carriere (Janelle). Dear granddaughter of Reginald and Claudette Carriere and Rene and Yvonne Ouimet (both predeceased). She will be sadly missed by her nephews and Godsons Kaleb, Keegan and Baby Carriere. Melanie will be lovingly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, extended family members and her special friend Marc. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nistico, Dr. Pitre and all the amazing staff that participated in Mel's care throughout her journey. Another special thank you to William Day construction where she worked and Nor-TEC industries for their support in these hard times. Melly has touched many people's hearts throughout the community and will always be remembered as a ray of sunshine. In keeping with Melanie’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
