The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Gayle Monica Bruneau in Sudbury, Ontario on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 at the age of 57 years.
Beloved daughter of the late Gregoire (Johnny) and the late Edith (née Blais) Bruneau. Loving mother of Paulo Oliveira of Vancouver, British Columbia. Treasured baby sister of Jeffrey (predeceased) Brenda, Daniel, Jennifer (Suzanne), Linda (Adrien). Cherished Auntie of Curtis, Courtney (Riley), Allison, Connor, Shawna (David), and Joseph.
Gayle was a people person. She loved to make people laugh. She treated everyone with dignity and respect. She graduated from Developmental Services Worker at Cambrian College and went on to bring her special gifts to those she met at the Cec Woods Center.
Although life presented her with many challenges, her faith in God never wavered. Music and crafting brought much joy to her life. The family will certainly miss her cheerful greeting on the phone, “Hi Pal”.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations made directly to the Sudbury Cedar Place Women and Family Shelter https://www.sudburycedarplace.ca/ would be greatly appreciated.
Gayle was a beautiful woman who brought the gift of joy to all who knew her. In spite of her pain in the last few months of her life, she maintained a positive attitude with a small and heaps of kindness. The world has lost a beautiful light who shined brightly for those of us who were privileged to know her.

Aunt Gayle had a wonderful heart and fun personality. I always enjoyed our visits. She will be missed.
