BRONICHESKI, Louis

In loving memory of Louis John Bronicheski who passed away peacefully at his home on Ramsey Lake on December 20, 2020, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren at the age of 84 years. Louis was born in Coniston, Ontario to John (born in Poland) and Jenny (née Szec, born in Ukraine), both predeceased.  Devoted husband of Theresa (née Lepage) for 63 years. Loving father of David (spouse Loretta, née Ceccon), Daniel (spouse Colleen, née MacDonald) and Linda (spouse Ian Cowie).  Grandfather of Carissa (spouse Jonathon Groulx), Cayla (fiancé Michael Major), Christopher (partner Mikaela Demers), Jennifer, John, Jessica, and James Bronicheski and Evangeline Cowie. Great grandfather of Jacob, Audrey and Zachary Groulx and Owen Major.  Dear brother of the late Stanley (spouse Victoria née Breckenridge) of Sault Ste. Marie, the late Joseph (spouse the late Dorothy née Bassett) of Copper Cliff, and Walter (spouse Elaine née Monico) of Coniston. Brother-in-law of Diane Sekerak (née Lepage, spouse Mel) of Sudbury, Sue Kilpatrick (née Lepage, spouse the late Don) of Whitby, Paul Lepage (spouse Connie née Lind) of Sudbury and Gerald Lepage (spouse Heather née Munro) of Renfrew.  Louis will be missed by his loyal dog Boots.  He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends, including longtime friends Dr. Curt and Jeannie Milner. Louis worked for 30 years as an electrician for Falconbridge Nickel Mines.  He “retired” in 1980 at age 47 to open Bronicheski Enterprises which he successfully operated for the next 25 years providing cable television installation services across Northeastern Ontario, much of which still exists today, and later acquiring real estate rental properties in Sudbury.  Louis was a clever and tireless project manager who strove for excellence in everything he did. He was especially proud of providing a legacy for his children by creating a paradise at his camp on Trout Lake where his entire family gathered every summer for the past 63 years.  Louis loved hunting every fall whether at Pardo, Cockburn Island or Barrie Island. He was an avid reader, an excellent cook and loved to bring his family and friends together with large gatherings at home and camp. A Funeral Mass was held for Louis at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, Sudbury on December 23, 2020. A special thank you to Linda and Bob Hachez for all their support and help as well as Dr. Fabio Luison, Dr. Sharon Terada, and all of the Home and Community Care professionals who worked tirelessly to allow Louis to enjoy his last days in the comfort of his own home on Ramsey Lake. Memorial contributions to the Sudbury Foodbank https://www.sudburyfoodbank.ca, Maison McCullough Hospice https://maisonsudburyhospice.org or to the Canadian Cancer Society https://www.cancer.ca would be appreciated by the family.
