Passed away at Falconbridge Extendicare after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Colleen (Dan) Prevost, Frank Baumgartner and Ron Baumgartner (predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Deanna and Keira Baumgartner, MaKenzie and Kendra Prevost and one great granddaughter Marley. Dear brother of Murielle (Rene) Frappier, Fidele (Marriette) Brabant, Rose (Rheal) Marleau all of Sturgeon Falls, Diane (Marc) Gagne of Deep River, Michele (Bev) Brabant of Lavigne, Aime (predeceased) Brabant and Douglas (Wendy) Friday of North Bay. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews and two special cousins Fred Barkiewicz and Dale (Marie) Barkiewicz all of Michigan. In keeping with Claude’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Heartfelt appreciation to the Diabetes Centre, Falconbridge Extendicare especially Dr. Roch and all the amazing staff for all the wonderful care they have shown to Claude. A Celebration of Claude’s Life will take place at a later date.

We are so sad to hear of Uncle Claude’s passing, he was always so kind and loving to us. Nicholas will definitely miss him on our visits to Lavigne and Sudbury. He fondly remembers his great Uncle and the numerous $5, Claude was always spoiling him. So grateful to have been able to see him so often over the years. We send our love and condolences to you Pat and the family, hopefully we will be able to attend the celebration in the spring.
