Blanchette, Rhonda Louise

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Rhonda Louise Blanchette (Groves). Rhonda passed away surrounded by her family at Health Sciences North, on Saturday, October 1, 2022 due to an unexpected and lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Dan Blanchette, loving mother to her favorite daughter Marley Groves-Burke, dearest Mémère to her ‘little scrump’ Aria Devine. Predeceased by her parents Caroline & Ronald Groves, and her brothers Chris and Derek Groves (Laura). Rhonda is survived by her mother-in-law, Therese “Mumsie” Blanchette; brothers, Paul Groves (Victoria), Denis Groves (Elaina), Stuart Groves (Heidi) & sisters in law Nicole Perrin (Claude) and Lise Seguin (Denis); as well as 15 nieces & nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.

Rhonda, the youngest of 5 siblings, was born on February 24, 1969 in Sudbury, Ontario. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and unforgettable laugh. She was stubborn, incredibly loving and had an uncanny ability to pass her genuine care and kindness on to anyone who needed it. She was a devoted wife, mother, mémère, daughter, aunt, and friend. She found joy in baking, cooking, fishing, gardening, and most of all laughing with her family and friends.

At this time, a formal funeral service will not be held. The family will have a Celebration of Life for Rhonda at a later date and will share those details when the time comes. Rhonda will always be remembered and deeply missed by many; may she rest in peace.
