Blakely, Arden

It is with profound sadness that the family of Arden Blakely announce his peaceful passing on November 3rd at 68 years of age. He will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Maureen (nee DeFelice) of 45 years. Loving and proud father to Matthew Blakely (Christine) and Stephanie Boyuk (John). Cherished grandfather to Devon, Cohen and Emiry. Big brother to Barb, Karen (predeceased) and Ruth (Graham). Dear brother-in-law to Paul DeFelice and Greg DeFelice (Barb). Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Arden was a true family man who was warm and caring. His happiest moments were at home with the people he loved around him, especially his grandchildren. Described by many as larger than life, Arden was a true gentle giant. He valued lifelong friends and was always happy to make new ones. To know him was to love him and no one who met him would ever forget his easy smile or genuine laugh. Unfortunately due to current health restrictions, Arden can’t have the send off that he deserves right now. When circumstances permit, a celebration of his life will be planned. If you wish to remember Arden with a donation, one can be made directly to a local charity of your choice.
