It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Georges Blais, 70 years old on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Health Sciences North with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of 49 years to Aline (née Ranger). Loving father of Angèle (Dave), Roger (companion Joanne) and Regean (companion Lacey). Cherished grandfather of Kelsey-Lynn, Roxanne, Natalie, Michel, Christine, Samantha, Karly and great grandfather of Bentley. Dear brother of Edouard (Ghislaine), Richard (Denise – predeceased) and brother-in-law of Fred (Donna) both predeceased, Tom – predeceased (Carole), Émile (Ginette) and Dan (Chico). Loving son of Albert and Aurore (née Lapalme) both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Before retiring, Georges worked at Sunbeam Meats for over 30 years making Italian sausage, his famous kielbasa (polish mints) and beef jerky. He enjoyed the outdoors, feeding his little birds, hoarding wood pallets and chopping wood. He was always ready to give a helping hand. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Health Sciences North 5th, floor North Tower, Cardiac Unit for all their kindness and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 3720 Hwy. 69 North, Val Caron on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium.

I would like to say I am sorry for the families loss, although I did not know him personally I do know Samantha and have heard a bit about the wonderful man he was. I wish the best for the family in the future.
