Bett, Robert James « Jim »

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert James « Jim » Bett announces his passing on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the age of 85. Predeceased by his loving wife Laurette (Pharand), his parents Frederick John Hunter Bett and Diana Marguerite (St. Germain) and his brothers John Bett and Allan Graeme Bett. Survived by his wife Lise (Lacasse) and their daughter Julie, mother-in-law Lucille (Lacasse), and sister-in-law Lynne (Gilles Coutu). Jim is also survived by his loving children, Richard (Gisèle), Carole (Richard Dubé), Jason (Mike); grandchildren, Tim, Tammy, Stéphanie, Maxine, Joshua; great-grandchildren, Mélodie, Philipe; brother Malcolm James Bett (predeceased Mabel), nieces and nephews and the Pharand family. Jim was born on July 23rd, 1934 in Granby, Quebec and worked at INCO in Sudbury for 32 years. He was a man with many passions including his family, music, camping, boating, his van and his many visits to Santa Claus Village. Jim proudly played music for many years at Club Amical du Nouveau Sudbury. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for their support and wonderful care they provided to Jim. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, ‪1028 S Bay Rd, Sudbury, Ontario, P3E 6J7, or your charity of choice.
