It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michel “Mike” Bertrand at the age of 61 years on Monday, March 11, 2019. Beloved husband of 34 years to Claudette Bertrand. He will be dearly missed by his children Julie (Nick), Luc (Shelley), Alain (Erin), Line (Mathieu), Josée (Lee) and grandchildren Dominic, Chloé, Sebastian, Logan, Cameron, Brandon, Karine, Kalèb, Alexis, Annabelle, and Zoé. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Jacqueline. Dear brother to Nicole, Claudette, Lise, Diane, Daniel (predeceased), Guy, and Joanne. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, discovering new trails on his quad, and testing the limits of his speakers. However, what brought him the greatest joy was spending time with his family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his nurses Danielle Drouin NP and James of Bayshore, staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, as well as doctors Monique and Moe St. Martin for all the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Maison McCulloch Hospice. As per Mike’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. The song has ended but the melody lingers on…
Our deepest condolences to you all. We will remember the good times. Sledding, motorcycle rides, Mike was always a big kid at heart. I would say Rest In Peace Uncle Mike but that wouldn’t be the right fit for you. So I have to say rest with lots of loud music. 🎶 🎶
